Security has always been our top priority in designing Furbo and your privacy is important to us.
To put it technically, Furbo connects to our service using 2048-bit RSA private keys for key exchange, which is the same encryption level that most banks use. This means that only you and those users that you authorized can access your Furbo. To prevent any security issues, please keep your username and password confidential.
For an extra level of security, you may consider following these tips:
Things you can do to keep your WiFi environment secure
- Use a secure WiFi/Router password - Your password should contain at least 8 characters, and it should be a combination of uppercase and lowercase letters, symbols, and numbers.
- Do not use the same password for different systems or accounts.
- Do not connect your mobile phone to unknown networks when you are outside.
Things you can do to keep your Furbo account secure
Enable 2-Step Verification
2-step verification adds extra security to your account, so you can have peace of mind when using Furbo products.

Use different passwords for your accounts and systems.
It’s good practice to maintain different passwords for different accounts. By doing so, you reduce the risk of malicious attacks that could use compromised credentials from one account to access your other accounts.
Regularly update your passwords
It’s always great to update your passwords every three to six months. If it’s been more than six months since you’ve last updated your password, we recommend doing it now. When creating a password, use a mix of numbers, upper- and lower-case letters, and symbols so you have a complex and strong password.
