1. Is this a brand-new Furbo?
2. Color of the status light. Take a picture of the Furbo's status light while on top of a white paper.
Step 1: Initial Checks
If it is your first time plugging your Furbo into a power source, you will see a white status light first. The white light should turn green after about a minute.
If there's no light or the light wont turn green, unplug your Furbo for 30 seconds, then, plug it back in.
Step 2: Hard Reset
If the light stays purple or white, perform a hard reset on your Furbo by following these steps:
- Locate the 'reset' button at the back of your Furbo.
- Use a pin or a straightened paper clip to press the 'reset' button.
- While Furbo is plugged in, hold the reset button for about 20 seconds until the light color changes. Wait until Furbo's light turns green.
Step 3: Power Adapter Check
If the status light is still stuck on purple or white light after resetting it for about a minute, please follow the steps below. Check after each step if the light will turn green:
- Try to plug your Furbo into another wall socket or outlet.
- Try using another USB adapter with the original Furbo cable.
- Try using another USB cable with the original Furbo adapter.
- Try using another USB cable and another adapter instead of the original Furbo USB cable and adapter.
- Try to do a hard reset the Furbo again using the reset button at the back of Furbo. Insert a pin or paper clip into the small hole in the back, and hold for 10 seconds. Wait for 3-5 minutes for the light to turn green.
If the light turns green, proceed to setting up your Furbo by logging in to your Furbo app.
