“Can’t connect to your Furbo” error: what it means
If the Furbo app shows the error “Can’t connect to your Furbo” while you’re setting up your Furbo 360° Cat Camera, your phone can’t connect to the Furbo over Bluetooth. The error can also appear when you’re reconnecting a Furbo after a reset.
Step 1: Check the Furbo status light (Can’t connect to your Furbo error)
- The first time you plug in your Furbo, the light is white. After a few minutes it should change to blinking yellow, which means it’s ready for setup.
- Blinking yellow: Go to Step 3.
- Steady white or blinking blue: Go to Step 2 and hard reset your Furbo.
Step 2: Hard reset your Furbo (steady white or blinking blue light)
- Find the reset button on under your Furbo beside the power port.
- Press and hold the reset button for 5–10 seconds, until the light starts blinking yellow.
- Start the setup again in the Furbo app.
If the reset doesn’t work: If the light stays white or blinking blue, the power adapter may be the problem. Try a different power adapter.
Step 3: Reset Bluetooth on your phone (light is blinking yellow but the error continues)
- Open your phone’s Settings and turn Bluetooth off. Use Settings rather than the quick-settings menu.
- Restart your phone.
- Open Settings again and turn Bluetooth on.
- Unplug your Furbo, then plug it back in. Wait until the light is blinking yellow.
- Open the Furbo app, log in, and start the setup again.
Step 4: Try another phone
If your Furbo is blinking yellow (broadcasting Bluetooth) and setup still shows “Can’t connect to your Furbo,” try the setup with a different smartphone.
