Some routers' default setting is WPA3 security mode, which Furbo does not support at the moment, therefore, causing setup issues.
If your router is set to WPA3 security mode, please change to WPA2 first to setup your Furbo. Below are the common routers we encounter which defaults to WPA3. Click on the router name to get the instruction how to change the security settings:
ASUS RT-AX92U AX6100 Ai Mesh
To log into the web GUI:
- Open web browser, enter http://router.asus.com
- On the login page, key in the default user name(admin) and password (admin)
To configure the basic wireless settings:
- From the navigation panel, go to “Advnaced Settings > Wireless > General tab.
- Select 2.4GHz as the frequency band for your wireless network
- Select authetication methods:
- WPA/WPA2 Personal/WPA Auto-Personal
NETGEAR AX6000
To log into the web GUI:
- Launch a web browser from a computer or mobile device that is connected to the router network.
- Enter http://www.routerlogin.net. key in the default user name(admin) and password (the password is the one that you specified the first time that you logged in)
To change the Wifi security:
- Select Wireless Settings > Security Options
- WPA2-Personal[AES]
- WPA-Personal[TKIP]+WPA2-Personal[AES]
TP LINK Archer AX90
To log into the web GUI:
- Visit http://tplinkwifi.net, and login your TP-Link ID and the password you set for the router
- On the login page, key in the default user name(admin) and password (admin)
To configure the basic wireless settings:
- Go to Wireless or Advance > Wireless > Wireless Settings
- To change the security option: drop-down list
- WPA/WPA2 Personal
Google Mesh
- By default, Google Nest Wifi and Google Wifi use the WPA2 protocol to maximize compatibility with legacy connected devices (such as phones, tablets, or laptops).
- However, you can turn on WPA3 transition mode in the Google Home app.
- This setting allows both WPA2 and WPA3 devices to join your Wi-Fi network.
- For Google Wifi devices initially set up in the Google Wifi app, you will need to add your network to the Google Home app to use this feature.
- To Turn on WPA2/WPA3 transition mode:
- Open the Google Home App.
- Tap Wi-Fi
- At the top right, tap Settings
- Turn on WAP2/WPA3
- To Turn on WPA2/WPA3 transition mode:
