Here are a few quick tips to help keep your Furbo connected smoothly.
Small factors like Wi-Fi signal or network speed can affect video quality, so you can easily check and optimize the setup with the steps below.
FACTOR 1 - Check Wi-Fi Signal
Make sure your Furbo isn’t too far from your Wi-Fi router. Try moving the router closer or adjusting its direction, then do a simple restart of your Wi-Fi router.
FACTOR 2 - Network Speed
If your home network plan has limited speed, or you’re using a shared/low-speed connection, it may cause occasional lag.
You can test the speed using your mobile phone connected to the same router — for best performance, we recommend an upload speed above 10 Mbps.
- On your phone, connect to the same Wi-Fi network as your Furbo.
- Open a speed test tool (e.g., http://speedtest.net or Fast app).
- Run the test — upload speed should be above 10 Mbps.
- If the speed is low, check your router settings for any bandwidth limits or if it’s using older Wi-Fi modes like 802.11 b/g.
- Do a simple restart of your Wi-Fi router.
FACTOR 3 - Check your Netowkr Delay
If you notice delays or video interruptions, high latency could be the cause. This may happen temporarily due to Internet Service Provider routing issues or when multiple devices are using the network at the same time.
- Run a speed test — if the ping is high (above 30 ms), it may cause video lag.
- Try disconnecting other streaming devices or restarting your router.
- If latency stays high, your Internet Service Provider might be experiencing temporary routing issues.
- Do a simple restart of your Wi-Fi router.
We hope these small tips help you keep your Furbo performing at its best! 💛
